The Department of Computer Science at CU Boulder is searching for two tenure-track Assistant Professors in artificial intelligence, broadly construed.

Areas of current interest include foundations of machine learning, multimodal models, alignment and AI safety, physical and embodied AI, reasoning, and the systems work that makes large models trainable and deployable. We are enthusiastic about many recent developments in our department and on campus: we have dramatically expanded computing resources for research and teaching, centralized our AI groups around common lab space, and have redesigned our graduate and undergraduate curricula for depth and mastery in this rapidly evolving field. There are other exciting developments to be announced in the coming weeks regarding our AI research efforts.
