--------------------------------------------------------- 🌈 The StereoQueerEval Shared Task 🌈 ---------------------------------------------------------
We invite participants to take part in StereoQueerEval: a novel shared task on the identification of stereotypes and hate speech targeting the LGBTQIA+ community. The great attention to hate speech detection in the NLP community provides a strong foundation for expanding research on stereotyping and hate speech targeting LGBTQIA+ individuals across multiple languages. StereoQueerEval advances research in this area with a cross-lingual benchmark covering English, Italian, Dutch and Persian.
StereoQueerEval is organized around three subtasks:
Subtask A) Stereotype Identification: binary detection of whether a text contains a stereotype targeting the LGBTQIA+ community (present/absent).
Subtask B) Hate Speech Type Classification: multiclass classification distinguishing between explicit hate speech, implicit hate speech and non-hateful content.
Subtask C) Target & LGBTQIA+ Identity Identification: recognition of the target type (individual vs. group) and the specific LGBTQIA+ identities targeted (L, G, B, T, Q, I, A, Q, NB).
Further details on the task, data, and evaluation are available at the task website: https://stereoqueereval.github.io/ Codabench will be up and running before the end of this month.
