I am writing to encourage you to consider _Miscelanea: A Journal of English and American Studies_ [1] as a potential outlet for your research. Published by the Department of English Studies at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), _Miscelanea_ is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal with a solid and long-standing trajectory and reputation in the field of English Studies.

_Miscelánea_ is indexed in a wide range of international databases and scholarly information systems, including Scopus, MLA International Bibliography, Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts, DOAJ, Diamond Discovery Hub, ERIH PLUS and SCImago Journal & Country Rank (SJR), among others. The journal is published twice a year, in December and June. We have recently published Issue 73 [2], with Issue 74 due to appear in December 2026. We are thus currently welcoming submissions for our two 2027 issues (75 and 76).

As Section Editor for English Language and Linguistics, I would be delighted to receive submissions covering any area of English linguistics and applied linguistics, particularly methodologically solid and rigorous studies in areas including, but by no means limited to:

* descriptive and theoretical linguistics; * applied linguistics and language teaching; * discourse analysis, Critical Discourse Studies and Corpus-Assisted Discourse Studies; * corpus linguistics; * sociolinguistics and pragmatics; * Systemic Functional Linguistics; * multimodal discourse analysis; * translation studies; * academic and professional discourse; * digital discourse and emerging approaches to language and AI.
