We are looking for a*postdoctoral researcher*to join our interdisciplinary project*"Climate discourse: Linking public discourse on climate extremes to political action"*at Leipzig University! This is a*3-year position*where you'll investigate how climate discourse and climate action are (or aren’t!) connected—leveraging*NLP and large language models*.
*What you'll do:*
* Analyze large-scale textual data from media, social media, and political debates on climate change * Develop and apply machine learning models for NLP tasks * Integrate social science theories to interpret discourse dynamics * Publish in top journals & present at international conferences * Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of social scientists, climate researchers, and computer scientists
