The ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐ญ Aalborg University Copenhagen (AAU-NLP) is growing fast in 2026, and weโre excited to announce that we are hiring ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ (3 years), and ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ (1โ3 years each), to join us at the beautiful waterfront Copenhagen Campus of Aalborg University.
This new cohort will join our expanding research efforts on ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐, with a strong emphasis on ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฌ across diverse cultural and linguistic settings. Weโre interested in candidates with solid backgrounds in ๐ฆ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐๐, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ as well as those coming from ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ who want to work at the intersection of language and AI.
Some example areas of interest include: โข NLP/LLM security, adversarial robustness, and backdoor detection โข Memorization and Privacy in LLMs โข Safety, factuality, and trustworthy multilingual language technologies โข Linguistically informed modelling and cross-cultural evaluation โข Interpretability, semantics, and behaviour analysis of LLMs โข Low-resource language processing and multilingual robustness
Within these areas, the projects offer ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ข๐๐๐๐ฌ - we believe the best research is driven by curiosity and creativity.
