Warmest greetings to all SIGUL members! We do hope this email finds you well.

First of all, we would like to thank the members for electing and entrusting us to serve as SIGUL Board for the next two years. We want to thank Khalid Choukri and ELRA for the efforts in making the successful election.

We would like to also acknowledge past SIGUL Board members for creating SIGUL and for their services to SIGUL. Many successful events have been organized to make a better future for the under-resourced languages (UL).

SIGUL was created in 2017 for people who share the same interest in UL. This year, SIGUL enters the fifth year and now has more than 300 members. We hope that we’ll be able to repeat the past success and improve our activities and collaborations to meet your interests. However, up to now, we never have had a chance to explicitly ask what you are interested in UL and what you are interested in doing together through SIGUL. So let us know your interests/opinions/suggestions for SIGUL by filling in the survey below. We will open the survey until April 30th, 2021. Please note that SIGUL is not a funding agency, so please kindly refrain from asking about the research budget.
