Invitation to Tender for a TPDL Conference
The Steering Committee of the TPDL conference invites interested parties to submit bids to host the TPDL 2026 Conference, held in conjunction as an event of the duration of 3 days. One additional day for workshops can be proposed. Please note that proposals may also may considered for TPDL 2027.
Institutions submitting a bid for TPDL 2026 also commit themselves to collect the fees and manage the conference budget.
TPDL is an international forum focused on digital libraries and their associated technical, practical, and social issues. The conference encompasses the many meanings of the term “digital libraries,” embracing the whole spectrum of the LAM (Library, Archive, and Museum) community; operational information systems with all manner of digital content; new means of selecting, collecting, organizing, and distributing digital content; and theoretical models of information media, including document genres and electronic publishing.
From 2024, TPDL is expanding its scope to prominently include Document Analysis, Recognition and Information Retrieval, acknowledging the vital role of those research areas in the creation (by means of digitization and information extraction from heterogeneous sources), access, discovery, and dissemination of digital content.
Parties interested in hosting TPDL are invited to submit proposals, in PDF format, by email to the TPDL Steering Committee Chair (Antoine Doucet <antoine.doucet@univ-lr.fr <mailto:antoine.doucet@univ-lr.fr>) and Deputy Chair (Gianmaria Silvello<gianmaria.silvello@unipd.it <mailto:gianmaria.silvello@unipd.it>) by Friday, December 13th, 2024.
The Steering Committee will review and select the proposals. The Steering Committee can ask for modifications and changes to the proposals, if deemed necessary.
Important dates:
- Bid submission deadline: Friday, December 13th, 2024
