CfP: LIFT2: Annual meeting of French national research network of Computational, Formal and Field Linguists
The Laboratoire de linguistique formelle (CNRS & Université Paris Cité) will host this year's meeting of the French national research network LIFT2 (=linguistique informatique, formelle et de terrain), which brings together computational, formal and field linguists.
The meeting will be held on October 16-17 2025 at Halle aux farines on Campus Rive Gauche in the 13th arrondissement of Paris (near Bibliothèque Nationale and INALCO). Submission of papers to the LIFT2 2025 Workshop is open to everyone.
Presentations may address any topic relevant to the LIFT2 Thematic Network. In particular, though not exclusively: - feedback and experience reports on the use and/or development of computational tools for linguistic analysis; - linguistics and open science: opportunities opened up by sharing data, tools, and publications; - formal language modelling (formal language theory, unification grammars, etc.); - computational methods for the analysis of under-resourced, minimally written, or undocumented languages; - linguistic research and ethics (participatory research, bias in models, applications of computational models, etc.); - reflections on the automation of analysis and validation processes.
Those wishing to present their work are invited to submit an anonymised abstract of two to four pages, written in either French or English. There are only very few slots for oral presentations. Therefore, decision on presentation type (oral/poster) will be made as part of the review process.
