We are delighted to invite you to submit your research to the Special Session on *Explainable AI for Understanding Online Behaviors and Mitigating Radicalization (XAI-OBRAD 2024)*, which will be held from *November 20-22, 2024*, in Porto, Portugal. This special session is part of the *1st International Conference on Explainable AI for Neural and Symbolic Methods (EXPLAINS 2024)*.
As we are approaching the *paper submission deadline on September 20, 2024*, we encourage you to submit your work as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to present your research in the growing field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (xAI), particularly in its application to understanding and mitigating the impact of social media on user polarization and radicalization.
This special session aims to explore the intersection of xAI and online behavior analysis, focusing on innovative research challenges and solutions to mitigate these adverse effects. We welcome contributions that align with our topics of interest, including but not limited to:

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers electronically via the web-based submission system. Detailed instructions for preparing the manuscript (in Word and Latex formats) are available on the conference website.

All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, with an ISBN reference, and submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, EI, and Web of Science/Conference Proceedings Citation Index. Each paper will receive a DOI from CrossRef, and all presented papers will be available in the SCITEPRESS Digital Library.
