I am looking for PhD students in e-Health and Sign Language Translation at
the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,
Queen's University in Belfast, UK. The details of the projects are below:
1.
*Breaking Barriers: AI-Powered Sign Language Translation for Enhanced
Healthcare Access for the Deaf* . The Project is co-supervised by Prof.
Asif Ekbal, Professor, IIT Jodhpur, India, and Dr. Anna Jurek-Loughrey,
Senior Lecturer, EEECS, Queen’s University.

*Empowering Mothers: AI-Enhanced Personalized Management of Gestational
Diabetes* . The project is co-supervised by Prof. Pietro Liò, Professor,
Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge, UK.
*Both projects offer an exciting opportunity for students to spend time at
the prestigious University of Cambridge in the UK and IIT Jodhpur in India.*
*Requirements:* The successful candidate is expected to have a solid
background in NLP, Machine Learning, Statistics, computer science, or
related disciplines. The minimum academic requirement for admission to a
research degree programme is normally an Upper Second Class Honours degree
from a UK or ROI HE provider or an equivalent qualification acceptable to
the University.
