We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student with a Master degree in computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, computer science, information science, or related areas.
Machine learning skills are mandatory; experience with training and/or designing neural networks for language processing tasks is strongly desired; experience in conversational systems is a plus. Furthermore, an excellent knowledge of English and good academic writing skills are essential.
Organisation:
The PhD candidate will be based at the Centre for Language and Cognition of the University of Groningen (CLCG) and will collaborate with other researchers from the Lessen project. The research will be carried out in the context of the Computational Linguistics group (
https://www.rug.nl/research/clcg/research/cl/) of the CLCG research institute.
